Lincoln District

About Lincoln District

Located in the South End of Tacoma, the Lincoln District is east of I-5 and just up the hill from Downtown Tacoma. This neighborhood was named after the historic Lincoln High School, which was named after our sixteenth President, Abraham Lincoln. It has also come to be known as the International District, as this area is full of cafes and restaurants owned by a wide variety of Tacomans from all over the world. If you’re looking for those hard-to-find ingredients, you can also find two large specialty grocery stores here, the Hong Kong Market and the Asia Pacific Market. The neighborhood really feels like its own little community and has picturesque tree-lined streets with sidewalks framing historic Craftsman homes, Victorians, and Tudors. When the weather is nice, you can take a stroll over to Lincoln Park, which is almost 10.5 acres and has two playgrounds, picnic shelters, a basketball court, and an old baseball field.
