About Orting
Orting is one of the state’s oldest cities and is located east of South Hill Puyallup. The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens, and along the east and west sides of town are the Puyallup River and Carbon River. The 20-mile Foothills Trail, where you can bike, walk, or run, meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you upstream along the Carbon River through farmland and forest. On a clear day, this area has unobstructed views of nearby Mt. Rainier. Downtown Orting has turn-of-the-century architecture and some great local restaurants. This area has a mixture of classic and modern homes, and if you’re looking for acreage, you are sure to find it here!
