About Parkland
Home of Pacific Lutheran University, Parkland is located off Highway 512 where the southernmost city limits of Tacoma meet Spanaway. This is another great area for commuters, whether you are going North to Tacoma and Seattle or South to JBLM and Olympia. The presence of the university brings students and the vibrancy of sporting events, music, and lecturers to the community. The beautiful campus is a great place for a walk or you can wander down Garfield Street and check out the local shops. If you work up an appetite, be sure to dine at Trapper’s Sushi or Marzano’s Italian Restaurant. This neighborhood has everything from gated communities, townhomes and multifamily units, to new construction. So whatever you’re looking for, you’re sure to find it!
