About Spanaway
Spanaway is located southeast of Tacoma. The main highway through the area is Pacific Avenue, which is lined with a variety of services and locally-owned businesses. The city also has several lakes, golf courses, and parks, making it a great place to get outside and enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Be sure to check out Bresemann Forest, where you can discover a canopy of towering firs surrounded by a lush under story, and a rushing creek with a channel built for returning salmon. The neighborhood has a variety of homes, including lakefront and newer construction. This is another area that is very popular with military families, due to its proximity to Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
