About Old Town
Old Town, aptly-named for the area where Tacoma’s first settlers set up shop, is a sliver of land built on a hill overlooking Ruston Way, Vashon Island, Browns Point, and Commencement Bay. It has charming homes and condos situated around a small collection of cafes, bars, restaurants, small businesses, and parks. While you are there, be sure to check The Spar, a local Tacoma favorite. Since Old Town begins just one block uphill from Ruston’s miles of boardwalk, it’s a great area for those whose perfect day includes a walk with their friend or a four-legged family member.
