This brewery works tirelessly to bring Tacoma the best beer. They use only natural ingredients and always have a rotating variety of original, hand-crafted ales. Dystopian State is also a great place to host an event! They have a large screen projector, are family friendly, and offer fantastic views of Commencement Bay.
“When we opened Dystopian State Brewing Co, we wanted to create a place for families and friends in our community to gather and share the joy of great beer.
As craft beer lovers, we’re committed to brewing unique and interesting beers. We also want to serve them in a cozy, welcoming taproom. We believe the best beer is made with simple, natural ingredients. There’s something for everyone here, and we can’t wait to share our passion for great beer with you.”

Did you know this brewery was where Heidelberg Beer was once brewed? The original best brewery in Tacoma. In fact, the opening of 7 Seas sparked the revitalization of Tacoma’s historic Brewery District.
The comfortable atmosphere of 7 Seas makes it the perfect spot to relax after work or over the weekend. If you get hungry, you can grab a mouthwatering sandwich, oysters, or a charcuterie platter from their onsite partner, 3uilt Tacoma. In addition, this is another family friendly spot with a great event room!
“7 Seas offers a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere and is housed within the Historic Heidelberg Brewery. The Heidelberg Brewery operated from 1900-1979, brewing a sizable 750,000 barrels of beer annually.
The tap room is located directly next to the University of Washington Tacoma campus. In addition, world-class museums, including the Museum of Glass and Tacoma Art Museum, are only blocks away.
Within the tap room, you can enjoy 7 Seas year-round brews, seasonals, and a constantly rotating Reserve Series. We also offer a local cider, kombucha, gluten-free beers, and several non-alcoholic offerings. Take the unique opportunity to meet friends and make new ones over a hand-crafted pint.”
