Autumn is an entrepreneur, artist, engineer, and real estate specialist. It is her deep passion to lift people up and empower them with the knowledge to really go for the things they want in life. She has a wealth of tools from working with foreclosures, investments, Airbnb’s, and wealth protection.
Autumn loves learning and growing, and really values others for their ideas and beliefs just as much as her own. Autumn enjoys the water, community, tea, coffee, kombucha, amazing food, philosophical conversations about life, and long walks on the beach. She is here to help however she can, not just in real estate!
My Name Is: Autumn Allen
I Am: A mish-mash of trades from music and dance to a BS in mechanical engineering and even a little parkour. I love great food, laughing, exploring, and learning about other cultures.
Born In: Austin, Texas
Languages Spoken: English, Level 1 on Spanish, French, and Hindi
Proudest Moment: When I accepted an engineering internship to go to India for the summer and I was so scared to go. I didn’t want to honestly, I wanted the Bali internship but it was full. It was the best, most grounding experience of my entire life, including me getting over fears by performing a live pop Hindi song to the entire university before I left for the US. You truly can do whatever you believe you can.
Biggest Challenge: I tend to want to help people with anything that comes up for them, be it foreclosure, an illness, or a tough situation. I have been given a huge amount of willpower and I have a tendency to use that for others before I will for myself more times than not. So I am learning some balance there.
I Love Real Estate Because: It connects you on the rawest level because there is literally no one between you and your client. Coming from the corporate engineering world, we never got to see who the end client was, if they were happy, or what they really wanted. I love being able to look someone in the eye and say, What do you want? And help make it happen step by step. With kindness and attention to their needs, you can change someone’s life on a whole other path they never thought possible.
Favorite Sports Team: I love to watch the Seattle Reign play (Women’s pro soccer) but also have a soft spot for Alabama sports.
My Perfect Day: Taking my time getting ready. I have developed a new habit of going to the lake near my house every morning to sit and wake up, drinking my shake, walk on the trails some, and really take time for myself without rushing. Then I would meet clients for coffee somewhere beautiful or fun to learn their goals and make an action plan. I would do an Indian lunch buffet and finish that off with a Mango Lassi smoothie. Then I would find a place to work on transactions that is outside if possible, or at a local place that has a really cool vibe or water view. The Theory office is also amazing if I have to work inside. After that, I would meet up with friends to go do something fun like a hike or chill in the lake or happy hour. I would love to end it with a bonfire in my backyard and smores!
Favorite Tacoma Neighborhood: My favorite neighborhood is at State Street and 6th Ave. I frequent Bluebeard Coffee Roasters and State Street Bar (which has the most amazing small pour drinks and flatbreads with honey drizzle).
Biggest Hero/Inspiration: Gigi, my grandma on my mom’s side. She was so strong, positive, and genuine. She made you feel like the only person in the world, and her smile would lift your spirits anytime. She was fierce. Long ago someone robbed her house and she looked him right in the eyes and told him to get out. He did just that.
Hobbies Outside of Real Estate? Fun fitness activities like walking, hiking, jogging, swimming, kayaking, rock climbing. Love to be able to just get up and go explore somewhere, see something new, make memories. I have taken up archery and love it, super peaceful and mind-clearing. I love being near the waterfront, either Seattle or the Tacoma Ruston area. My new obsession is to Lime scooter along the Ruston Boardwalk and grabbing local coffee. I love having small gatherings with friends and relaxing.
Favorite Season: Seattle Summer is where it’s at – outdoor seating, no bugs, enjoying a nice mojito, not too hot but just right. But Fall is so gorgeous and helps me to reflect on the year and re-prioritize my life. Plus pumpkin spice lattes, duh.
