About University Place
University Place is a quiet suburb of Tacoma that runs along the shores of the Puget Sound. Most notably, the city is famous for Chambers Bay Golf Course, which played host to the 2015 US Open and serves as a year-round recreation area with trails, meadows, and beaches with beautiful views of the Olympic Mountains. Pierce County’s only Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods can be found here, as well as many other shopping and dining options. Within the neighborhood, homes on the west side of University Place boast amazing sunset views of the Puget Sound and the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, and you can also find move-in ready homes in housing developments throughout the city. University Place is known for its schools and beautiful library, so it understandably makes for a great place to raise a family!
